Travelling By Air

Many major airlines offer regular flights to Cyprus’ two major airports, Larnaca (LCA) and Paphos (PFO):

• Cyprus Airways runs frequent scheduled services from five major UK airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham) as well as Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich, Brussels, Frankfurt, Vienna, Milan, Rome, Athens, Moscow and Dubai.
• Eurocypria offers charter flights to both Larnaca and Paphos from all major German airports; Graz, Vienna and Salzburg in Austria; and St Petersberg in Russia
• For transfers to Cyprus from Athens, Aegean Airways offers several flights a day from Athens International airport to Larnaca.
• From the UK, British Airways operates regular flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick to Larnaca, and Monarch offers scheduled flights to Larnaca from London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
• From the Netherlands, KLM operates a daily service to Larnaca from Amsterdam from the beginning of May 2009.
• From France, regular flights to Larnaca are available from Lyon, Nice, Paris and Toulouse.
• Emirates also run frequent flights from Dubai to Larnaca.

Delegates travelling from outside of Europe should be able to fly to any major European airport for connecting flights to Cyprus.

 Travelling Within Cyprus

Travel by Bus

Intercity Buses (Tel: 24 643 492 or 24 722 700) operate long distance bus services around the island, including routes between Larnaca Airport and Limassol. Other urban and rural buses are more infrequent but connect to all parts of Cyprus.

Travel by Taxi

Shared taxis and minibuses are common in Cyprus and provide a convenient way of travelling around the island. They offer regular services between Larnaca and Paphos Airports and Limassol (close to the St. Raphael Resort). In addition, private hire taxis travel anywhere on the island and are easily found at both airports.

Travel by Car

Car hire is available at Cyprus’ airports and offers an easy way to reach all destinations in Cyprus. A number of different international companies operate at each airport.
