 Travel to Kos

Kos International Airport is located 30km from the conference venue, and offers direct flights from many other regional European airports.  Delegates travelling from outside of Europe will find it easiest to fly to Athens and transfer to Kos with Olympic Airlines or Aegean Airlines, who offer daily flights.

Airlines flying direct to Kos International Airport include;

  • Air Berlin from most major German airports and Zurich
  • TUIfly from many regional German airports
  • Easyjet from London Gatwick
  • Thomas Cook from many regional airports in the UK, as well as Brussels, Billund and Oslo-Gardermoen
  • Thomson from many regional airports across the UK
  • Monarch from London Gatwick and Manchester
  • Edelweiss Air from Zurich and Geneva
  • Niki from Linz, Vienna and Salzburg in Austria
  • Ryanair from Frankfurt-Hahn and Milan-Orio al Serio
  • Transavia from Amsterdam, Paris-Orly, Maastricht, Groningen and Eindhoven

From the Airport

  • Hire Car: A number of hire car companies operate at Kos International Airport, including Alamo, Budget, and Hertz.  The conference venue is 50 minutes drive from the airport.
  • Taxi: Taxis are readily available at Kos airport.  The conference venue is 50 minutes from the airport, costing approximately €75.  Airport transfers can also be booked in advance with Python Tours, please see www.pythontours.gr
  • Bus:  Buses depart from the airport to Kos Town.  Change here for buses to Psalidi for the hotel.

 By Ferry

Blue Star Ferries offer crossings daily to Kos from Pireaus (Athens) for both foot and car passengers.  Timetables and online booking can be found at www.bluestarferries.com

 Travel on Kos

Kos’ main bus station can be found in Kos town.  From here, KTEL suburban buses frequently travel to towns and villages across the island.  Taxis are readily available in Kos town with set prices for popular destinations - prices for other journeys should be agreed in advance.
