One of Italy’s oldest universities, the historic University of Pisa occupies a number of the city’s most beautiful Renaissance buildings and has grown since the fourteenth century to encompass a large student population and the world’s oldest academic botanical gardens within the city centre.

 Accommodation

The Grand Hotel Duomo, is situated in the very centre of Pisa, a short distance from Piazza dei Miracoli, home of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Within close proximity of transportation links and the conference venue at the University of Pisa, the hotel is a short walk from many of the city’s landmarks. The hotel offers a range of rooms and suites, some with views of the Leaning Tower itself. All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite marble bathrooms, satellite television and air conditioning, as well as WiFi internet connections.
